I DO INSIDER:
FIRST ENTRY
At 10:41 p.m.
Saturday night 14 Brides to be and their fiancé's checked in on I
Do Island. There was a scavenger hunt from 11 p.m. to 1:30
a.m. All couples searched for a toy US Army Tank. The
couple with the longest or worst time was removed from the
contest. That couple was Chessa and Rocky. However, in
an "island twist," Chessa and Rocky did not leave alone.
Chessa had the opportunity of selecting another bride to leave the
island with her. Chessa chose Claudia.
There was bad news for Regina Scott, as she had to leave the
contest due to her fiancé's illness. We all think he has
the flu. All our best and a speedy recovery. Oh and
Good Luck with the remainder of your wedding plans. Regina's
bad news, was good news for alternate Courtney Baker and her fiancé
- we didn't get his name??? Anyway, Courtney joined the
other brides right as the first elimination was ending.
Ashley Englert had the best time during the scavenger hunt, and as
a reward, she has "possession" of the hut...for now.

I DO INSIDER: SECOND ENTRY
The twelve
girls that were left were allowed only a few hours of sleep before
being awaked at
4 am
to play the ultimate card game of war, in thirty-nine degree
weather. The game was
still going at
9 am
when it was
time for the next challenge.
On to capture the flag with water guns.
The catch is that the water had food coloring in it that
stained the girls clothing. There
was quite a bit grumbling when they realized that.
It was a decisive game with the Green team sweeping the Red
team with four straight wins, and only mild name-calling was heard
during play. The
winners earned a box of Kolaches that Johnny Bravo will bring them
on Monday morning, and the losing team had to clean up from the
game, as well as sort out all the decks of cards from the previous
night.
While nighttime had been fiercely cold for the girls,
midmorning was just the opposite.
The sun was out and they spent the day sun bathing.
At
noon
, it
was time for another elimination.
The girls were lined up and given 5 seconds to say whom
they wanted kicked off in front of everyone.
The deciding vote to kick off Courtney was made by
Kimberly. The irony is
that the two girls had made an alliance early on, but Kimberly
obviously had other plans
MONDAY 3/27
The girls
got to meet Johnny Bravo and of course in true Johnny style he
hit on them... Nice Johnny ... They’re engaged … and not to you.
They had the chance to play putt-putt against J.B. to try and win a comfort pack which included mouth wash, baby
powder, deodorant, and baby wipes only four girls won this prize.
Later in the afternoon the girls played Jenga to win the use of a
tailgating chair and exclusive use of the hut during the day.
After a long afternoon of Jenga it came down to Susan and Ashley
there where some close calls but Ashley won the prize. Guys don't
let these ladies tell you they don't know how to change there oil
because they learned today. We picked the oldest and the youngest
bride to become team captains for this challenge Yvonne and
Jennifer were picked. They then picked there teams out of the
remaining girls Susan was the odd bride out and gained immunity
for this challenge. After the girls learned how to change the oil
in a Honda they played a game of kick-ball and got a little in to
it. I guess the thought of the winning team earning food made the
girls do whatever it took to win. In the end team A (Yvette,
Jehann, Candice and Nadia) won the food. Keep checking the website
there is more to come for these lucky or unlucky brides in the
next few days. Till next time.

I Do Insider: John Eagle Honda “Oil Change Challenge”
The brides had a rough night, and
a worse morning. All night they were kept awake by music ranging
from the Cha - Cha Slide, to K Fed… Not to mention they spent the
night worrying about the elimination that would result from the
next mornings Oil Change Challenge. The brides were given brief
training yesterday from John Eagle Honda employees to prepare for
this morning’s challenge. To get the brides ready for the
challenge today, we put them through PT (physical training) at
6am. They did this montage style to the theme song from Rocky.
They had to run laps around the island, do push-ups, sit-up,
jumping jacks, and other exercises.
Johnny Bravo arrived as they were
finishing PT. He brought island gifts with him for the brides.
They were given a pineapple and a coconut, but no utensils to cut
them up with. The brides proved resourceful. They pounded the
fruit on the rocks and cracked them open. They complained about
the taste of the coconut, saying it didn’t even smell good.
Desperate times call for desperate measures and they ate it anyway
since food is scarce on the island.
For the John Eagle Honda “Oil
Change Challenge” the girls had to correctly make an oil change
and inspection on two new 2006 Honda Civics. Johnny Bravo picked
2 team captains and they had to pick three more brides for their
teams. Since there was an uneven amount of brides, one was left
as odd bride out. She was given immunity from this morning’s
kick-off. There were three judges from John Eagle Honda
evaluating their work, and then inspected the cars afterwards.
The first team finished in 6 minutes and 31 seconds, and the
second in 6 minutes and 44 seconds. The first team might have
finished sooner, but the tire pressure was off giving the second
team the win because they did everything correctly. The winning
team was then given 15 seconds to vote off a bride from the losing
team.
While the brides completed their
challenge, Susan (the bride not picked who had immunity from this
challenge) spilled about the drama on the island. Apparently
Jennifer had been very cocky about “knowing” that she was going to
win. She also rubbed the brides the wrong way with rude comments,
but then would turn around and be nice to them 5 minutes later.
Susan’s guess for the bride to be kicked off was Jennifer for that
reason. And she proved to be right. Jennifer had made a lot of
the other brides mad, and the winning team didn’t even need all 15
seconds to decide that Jennifer should be kicked off.
During the challenge the skies
opened up and the rain began. The 8 remaining brides now have to
spend the day cold and wet in the rain.

BREAKING NEWS
3/28
Ashley decided to
leave the island. She was the one everyone thought was going
to go all the way with it, but maybe the bad weather was just too
much for her.
Also, the girls
seem to have a plot to either get the KRBE staffers in trouble or
their trying to be sneaky and get food out of them. They're
telling the staffers that are coming on for a new shift that the
KRBE staffers before them were giving them food. Hmmmm?
Rumor has it too,
that the things the girls are missing most are Starbucks,
Chapstick and food!

I Do Insider: Day Three Continued
What a bunch of
wimps. The brides who survived after this mornings John Eagle
Honda “Oil Change Challenge” couldn’t take the rain. They were
whining all day, and even snuck back into the hut when we weren’t
looking to get out of the rain. Nadia argued, but as we told
them, we reserve the right to change the
rules in the middle of the game. Besides, it was only sprinkling
most of the time, and when it did thunder and lightning a little,
we let them hang out under the awning of the dealership.
When the rain
subsided a little, we decided to show the brides that trying to
get the staffers in trouble was not to their advantage. We set up
some cones and made the girls run ladders. Basically, they had a
starting point marked by cones: they had to run to the next point
of cones, touch the ground, return to start, touch the ground, run
to the second set of cones, touch the ground, return to start, and
then continue on until we felt like they were sorry. During this
activity, the brides were conspiring to stop participating in the
activity. Ashley told them not to quit, but that she was going
to.
Ashley said her
reasons for quitting were that her bridal pictures are Saturday,
and she felt herself getting sick. She couldn’t handle the
thought of not looking good in those photos. The other brides
were more mad at her for quitting than anything else. They all
thought that she was the one to beat. But one bride even remarked
that Ashley was “one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met.” Ashley
thinks that Jehann, Yvette, Allison, and Brandi will be the top
four brides. She said Jehann is very competitive; Yvette is so
friendly she’s not seen as a threat, and that Allison is a strong
competitor and is liked by everyone. Ashley mentioned that while
Brandi could be a little annoying, she is really outspoken, and
competitive.
The brides had
more down time in the rain before it was time to make their lunch
with an Easy-Bake oven. They were underneath the awning of the
dealership again, and given all the supplies they needed to make
their lunch. This is when Candice stood up and called it quits.
She complained that she was cold, wet, tired, and wanted to be
able to sleep in her own bed again. She also said that the prize
wasn’t worth it, and she didn’t absolutely need the money. She
also mentioned that she didn’t think Susan would last another
night because she was such a weak girly-girl, and agrees with
Ashley about Allison and Jehann. Apparently those two are the
popular votes.
The six
remaining brides finished their Easy-Bake lunch, and were allowed
to use the restroom inside the dealership, and even the soap to
wash their face. During this time in the bathroom there was
lots of girl talk. Yvette said they have been acting as one
big team for the most part, and have been sharing all the food and
prizes, and encouraging each other, so it will be interesting to
see what happens when it gets down to only 3 or 4 brides.
The brides also mentioned that they miss real food, and Jehann
said the downtime in between challenges was so boring (that’s the
whole point). Brandi even mentioned that the girls would
have kicked Candice off next, so none of them were too sorry to
see her leave. They were then allowed 45 minutes inside to take
off their wet shoes and socks, and to dry off a bit before the
next challenge. During a live interview with Freddy Cruz,
they learned that we were going to reward them with a Starbucks
drink of their choice. Their faces lit up like it was
Christmas when they heard that. They were also told that an
even better surprise was in store for them later.
Unfortunately
they had a challenge to do before they could have their drinks.
The brides played KRBE’s version of bobbing for “apples.” They
had to bob for plastic rings in a disgusting concoction of grape
jelly, sardines, and soups such as clam chowder and beef with
barley. They were given 20 seconds to find as many rings as they
could, using only their mouth. Susan and Allison tied with 15
rings each, so they had a “bob-off.” This time they were given 10
seconds. Allison won with 12 rings. The worst part of the
concoction was the smell, but it didn’t look or taste good
either. Allison won the right to change one article of clothing
from the bag that she had brought. (All the brides have a bag
with one change of clothing in it that we keep locked up.) She
chose underwear, and all the other brides were jealous that she
got to change hers.
Shortly after
the challenge, their Starbucks drinks arrived, and they were happy
again, especially since it had stopped raining. The other
surprise: we let their fiancé’s bring up a letter of encouragement
that they wrote for them to read.

3/28 NIGHT
As a long
rainy drama filled day came to a close the girls are in good
spirits after hearing that they were receiving Starbucks from
Freddy. Too bad the coffee didn't taste as good as they hoped
after the promo staff made them bob in a grape jelly, soup,
sardine mix. There
is a lot more to come so keep logging on to see what we can come
up with next.

3/29 ENTRY
Today proved to be a good
day - nobody quit! The remaining brides are tough, and definitely
determined to win. The day began very early for the bride's
fiancées when they received a call from KRBE at 3AM and were told
that they had 2 hours to get to the Island. They all made it in
time and their challenge was to play a Texas Hold 'Em tournament
for immunity for their bride. After 3 hours of play, Susan's
fiancé, Marcos, came out on top so Susan was granted immunity for
the second day in a row, and was also given the daunting task of
choosing someone to leave the Island in just 10.4 seconds - her
choice was Allison. Susan's explanation for picking Allison was
that it was purely random and that she was just the first person
that popped into her mind. But rumor has it on the Island that
there may be more too in than that...
Later in the morning the
brides did some exercises, endured a 3 hour "Silent Game", and
took a nap. And for the first time this week, the girls woke up to
good news -- they were getting burgers and fries from Burger King,
compliments of Scott Sparks! Susan doesn't eat red meat, so she
asked if she could get a chicken sandwich instead. The reward was
an actual burger, so the remaining brides were asked how they felt
about it, and they agreed that it was ok with them for Susan to
have chicken instead.
Then the girls got a visit
from a few players from the Houston Dynamos, the new soccer team
in town. They learned a few tricks and ways to juggle the ball
with their knees, feet and head. Then they received their
challenge - to keep the ball moving and off the ground for as long
as they can. Nadia won this one and received one of the best
rewards so far - she could take a shower but have to put her dirty
clothes back on, or she could change into clean clothes. She chose
the clean clothes and she only has 2 more days to go and can
handle being dirty for a little bit longer.
Overall, the brides were
all pretty quiet today... could they be plotting their next move?
Or has the exhaustion finally really set in? Stay tuned...
