ELIGIBILITY: Participation in the
contest is limited to unmarried, couples who have resided in the
KRBE Broadcast area as determined by Arbitron for a minimum of 30
days prior to the start date of this contest, who are 18 years of
age or older who are eligible to obtain a marriage license from the
county clerk of any county in Texas. Finalists must be planning to
marry prior to June 15, 2009 in order to participate in this
contest. Employees of 104 KRBE, Cumulus Media Partners, Hilton
Furniture & Mattress, Furber Advertising, Houston Ballroom’s, Al’s
Formalwear, Houston Bridal & Formal Gallery, Broadway Across America
and Save the Date with Valerie & other contest sponsors, their
affiliated companies, tenants, advertising and promotion agencies,
and the immediate family members of each are ineligible to
participate
THIS CONTEST IS SCHEDULED to begin on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 11
a.m. and will end on Saturday, April 12, 2008 no later than 4 p.m.
KRBE (104 KRBE) reserves the right to stop the contest at any time.
IF, AFTER THE CONTEST HAS BEGUN, changes or updates to the contest
are deemed necessary, the changes will be announced on KRBE-FM,
104.1 on the day that the change is to take effect. In addition, an
addendum outlining the changes will be printed and made available in
the station lobby and on the KRBE website at www.104krbe.com.
TO ENTER: There are three
entry methods. 1) Log onto 104KRBE.com between Midnight Monday,
March 24, 2008 and 11:59 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008 and complete the
entry form with your brides name, groom’s name, address, dates of
birth, phone number, e-mail address and wedding date. Twenty-five
couples will be selected from those entering through this entry
method, on or about Monday, April 7, 2008, to participate in the
contest. 2) Go to Hilton Furniture & Mattress on Saturday,
April 12, 2008 beginning at 9 a.m. The first five couples who meet
eligibility requirements and sign up with KRBE to participate will
have the opportunity to participate in the contest. 3) Any couple
wishing to participate in the contest who was not selected through
entry method one or two may participate in a last chance random
drawing to be held at 10:45 a.m. Two couples will be selected to
participate in the contest through this last chance entry method.
The contest is limited to 32 couples only. Any couple who qualified
through entry method one or two who is not present and checked in
with KRBE at 10:45 a.m. will be disqualified and may be replaced
with any non-participating couple who meets eligibility requirements
who is on-site.
TO WIN: All eligible
participants must participate in every activity during their
designated round to be eligible to win this contest. Couples will
be eliminated throughout the contest based on overall scores awarded
in that particular round of play. Scores will not be cumulative and
all participants will begin each round with “0” points. There will
be six total rounds. Up to 32 couples, consisting of one man and
one woman will have the opportunity to participate in round one.
Twenty-six couples will have the opportunity to participate in round
two. Twenty couples will have the opportunity to participate in
round three. Fourteen couples will have the opportunity to
participate in round four. Eight couples will have the the
opportunity to participate in round five. Four couples will have
the opportunity to participate in round six. The final eight
couples will participate in individual elimination activites. The
final two couples will compete against one another in a simple game
of skill, and the the couple who wins that activity will be
announced as the winner. Decisions of the judges will be final in
all matters. Both the bride and the groom must participate
actively throughout the contest in order to be eligible to move to
the next round. If one member of a couple is unable or unwilling to
participate in a specific activity, that couple will forfeit and
will be removed from the contest and have no further claims on any
prizes.
If any participant fails to comply with any of the contest rules
that person risks ejection from the contest and forfeiture of any
prize.
PRIZES: The winning couple
will receive prizes worth a minimum of $15,000. Prizes for the
Grand Prize Winner will consist of: A Master Bedroom Suite
containing a queen sized sleigh bed, mattress & box spring, dresser,
mirror, chest of drawers and a nightstand (value $6,800), Bridal
Party Tuxedo Rental for six tuxedos (value $1500), one wedding gown
(value $1000), Wedding Coordination (value $2000), Houston Comets
Mini-Season Ticket Plan (Value $500) and Reception Hall with
Decoration Package for 200 guests to include an 8 hour hall rental
on a Friday or Sunday evening (value $4200). Total Grand Prize
Value is $16,000. The second place finishers will receive a Queen
Sized Paris Jade Mattress Set value $2,900. The final three couples
will be awarded tickets to Broadway Across America’s Houston
Production of The Wedding Singer, in the Gallery Seating Level
valued at $66.60. The couple with the highest point total from the
“Free Throw” game in round three will win Houston Comets Mini-
Season Tickets ($500). Winners must furnish KRBE with proof that a
wedding is being planned or a copy of their valid marriage license
prepared by the county clerk under Texas law, and complete all
applicable paperwork in order to receive any prize.
ONLY ONE PARTICIPANT COUPLE PER HOUSEHOLD IS PERMITTED
Void where prohibited by law. All
federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
The winner will be required to pay any
and all local, state, federal, and additional taxes, tips or fees,
insurance, licensing, registration and title fees incurred with
respect to their prize. All fees are the sole responsibility of the
winner.
No transfers or substitutions of the
prize will be allowed. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of non-cash
prizes. The winner must claim all prizes within 24 hours of winning
the prize.
By completing the entry form, entrants
agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the
judges. Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating
to the contest. Additional contest procedures and definition will
be outlined before the start of the contest. 104 KRBE reserves the
right to giveaway more prizes than stated.
Participation in the contest constitutes permission by each
participant have their picture and biographical information posted
on the KRBE website for KRBE, contest sponsors and agencies to use
the finalists name and/or likeness, their winnings, their picture
and voice for purpose of advertising and trade without notice,
further compensation or further permission unless prohibited by law.
104 KRBE reserves the right to all video, audio, photographic or
print material which involves the finalist for promotional use
without further permission or compensation and finalists agree to
participate with the station and its advertising agencies in
publicizing or broadcasting finalists names, winnings, pictures or
character likeness’ without further compensation.
Winner will be required to fill out an
affidavit of eligibility/release of liability/prize acceptance form
prior to the time of prize delivery. Winner must have their social
security number and proper identification in person to pick up the
prize unless additional specific contest rules specify differently.
Each participant must sign a release
acknowledging that by participating in this contest, he/she agrees
to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury,
loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a
result of his or her participation in the contest or the use of any
prize and to release and hold harmless, Cumulus Media Partners.,
Radio Station KRBE, all contest sponsors and each of their
respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and
all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her
participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise
out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or
entities mentioned above.
ALL DECISIONS OF STATION MANAGEMENT
with regard to the awarding of the prizes, the selection of the
winner and the interpretation of these rules shall be final. Each
participant, by virtue of entering the contest, agrees to accept the
decision of the station as final.
If by reason of error, more prizes are
claimed than the number set forth in these rules, all persons making
purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to
award the advertised number of prizes. No more than the advertised
number of prizes will be awarded.
104.1 KRBE, in its sole discretion, reserves the
right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or
who is otherwise in violation of the contest rules. |
