“Promotions Assistant” Part – Time Position
JOB SUMMARY
104.1 KRBE, Houston’s Number One Hit Music Station, is searching for a Part – Time “Promotions Assistants”. This is a
0 – 10 hour per week position with varying hours, ideal for a college student interested in studying marketing, advertising, communication, business, etc and/or person interested in working in the radio industry on a part-time basis.
DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:
Work with and assist the 104.1 KRBE Promotions & Marketing Director, Sales Promotion Director, and Staff as necessary in promoting 104.1 KRBE.
Job Duties:
- Assist in set-up and breakdown of special events.
- Filing and other administrative work assigned
- Clean and Stock Station Vehicles
- Organize prize closet
- Answer phones (switchboard) as necessary
- Communicate with listeners as it relates to special events, promotions, giveaways
- Assisting with general promotions department duties.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of Radio Promotions Experience or 3 years of Direct or Guerilla Marketing Experience
- Outgoing & Energetic Personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in Pop Culture Entertainment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point and Access are a plus)
- Ability to create/organize correspondence (letters, e-mails)
- Must be able to work with little supervision
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to take direction and work well with others
- Must be able to lift/move heavy objects (minimum of 40 pounds)
- Critical Thinker/Creative Problem Solver
- Must be at least 18 years of age (insurance requirement)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent driving record
- MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAY – FRIDAY – this is not a “weekends only” opportunity
