Here's my chance to tell you a
little bit about myself. I grew up in Central Illinois in a
small town called Marseilles. I've always loved radio and grew
up listening to WGN, WLUP, WLS, Larry Lujack, Johnny B. and
Bob Collins. I went to Columbia College in Chicago and
graduated with a BA in 1996. I’ve lived in Texas since 2000
and moved to Houston in 2003 to work with Roula and Ryan.
Along the way, I’ve worked at various radio stations in
Chicago, LA and Dallas producing and consulting.
I really do love working with
Roula and Ryan every morning. They make me feel like I have an
actual family here in Houston. Roula and Ryan are like the big
brother and little sister I never had! We’ve recently joined
the KRBE family and I’m loving every minute of it.
By the way, I’ve been meaning to
get a couple of things off my chest for quite some time. 1)
YES, people have told me (REPEATEDLY) that I look like
Nicholas Cage. Unfortunately, I don’t get his perks like
getting paid $20 million per film, owning my own island, etc.
BUT, I do have a better hairline than he does. So at least I
have that going for me. 2) If you’ve been listening to the
show, you have probably noticed that my voice resembles a
mixture of Ray Romano and Kermit the Frog. Yes, that is a
pretty sexy combo! Whenever listeners see me, they almost
always say “wow, you look nothing like you sound”. I don’t
know whether I should take that as a compliment or an insult.
If you know the answer, please let me know.
I get asked a lot about what my
interests are. I’m a pop culture and current events junkie,
LOVE going to the movies, and seeing my son who lives in
Dallas. I usually hang out in West U and Rice village on the
weekends. Some of my favorites spots are Logan Farms (Mike and
the gang are like my adopted family here in Houston), Buffalo
Wild wings (to cheer on the Rockets and Astros), Gingerman (to
have some Chimay with my wife), and Issues (to pick up
some hard to find magazines and newspapers).
Thanks for taking time to read
my bio. Keep on listening to the show. Hi-Ho!! |
