| Approximately 4,800 participants
took part in the 17th annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run,
raising $115,000 for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™
Educational Fund. Since
the race began in 1987, the company has donated over $1.25 million
toward college scholarships for
Texas
youth.
Houston Mayor Bill White served as the official
starter for the 10K and 5K races, while Navy F/A -18 pilot Lt.
Commander John “Jake” Ellzey and Navy F/A - 18 pilot Lt. Chad
Albold sounded the horn for the wheelchair race.

, took top honors
in the men's 10K race overall finishing with a time of 31:26:05.
Kelly Keane,
31, of The Woodlands,
Texas
, finished first
in the women's 10K race with a winning time of 34:18:65.
